chuckmiester wrote: Wed Jul 24, 2019 10:09 pm Problem solved. It was one of the pressure sensors on the master cylinder. I got a pair off eBay for under £20.
Fitted it tonight, went a short run in it, pulled up, turned ignition on and of and the lights were gone👍🏻
Result. :)
Is there a good how to do this anywhere with pics.? I have the same issue thanks 🙏
I put a few pics up on PistonHeads a few months back:

having just done the job, its a 27mm spanner you'll be needing, or, I found a 27mm impact socket fit over the entire sensor, and then a ratchet spanner to unscrew it.

expect some brake fluid leakage, make sure you have the replacement sensor ready to screw in as soon as the old one is out. also, gloves is a good shout, as brake fluid isn't the nicest stuff to get on your hands.

Really easy to do. Only took a minute and that’s with my 2 year old son helping😳 👍🏻

Is there anything critical I need to do or watch out for either prior or whilst doing this fix?

Make sure the brake fluid reservoir is fully topped up and keep the cap on. Few paper towels below the sensors and just work as quickly as you can. You don’t lose a great deal of fluid to be honest.

A pair of yellow warning lights

Post by thespannerman » Wed Jun 23, 2021 4:50 pm

Guys, had my Z4 for 2 weeks and today it’s chucked up these same two warning lights, which reading the manual seem to imply a fault. The eBay link given above doesn’t work anymore so can someone point me in the direction of these sensors you mention.

A pic or diag or instructions on changing them and where there fit would be helpfully too, sorry, just noticed the link to pistonheads site. Will try and source a couple of these sensors.

Cheers
