This thread came straight up when I Googled it. I can strongly recommend Google as a primary source of info

Hi,
I’m experiencing the same issue... did you solve it?

Angelsambrook - How did you finally fix the problem? My wife's beloved Z is having the same problem. The roof latches close and then reverse without latching and the lift motor doesn't engage. I replaced it and moved it to the trunk and repaired kinked wires in the roof loom. At a loss how to proceed. Any ideas? Thanks.

Jan, that member hasn’t been active for over two years so you’re not likely to get a response but hopefully someone else will pop along and maybe able to help

Thanks, Andy, I hope so. As these Z's age, I guess the number of active folks dwindles, but we never run out of things to repair!
