Whiteline front Arb....Help!
I am in the process of fitting a whiteline front Arb 27mm to a 2006 Facelift 2.5. trouble is I can't see how it fits!! The bush mounting points are not in the same place as the OEM bar? If you look at the pics the OEM mounting points are horizontal at the same point on the whiteline where it is angled.
Anyone fitted a whiteline and can explain how to fit it?
Did BMW change the mounting points on the Facelift?
Any help, thoughts much appreciated.

I'd email these pics to the seller. That definitely doesn't look like a direct replacement, judging by your pics

Thanks for the reply James, I have emailed whiteline Aus and they were exceptionally quick to reply, the UK importer is now looking into this, they agree what I have been supplied with will not fit and what they have in stock is all the same. Hopefully, they can sort it........fingers crossed!

Can't say fairer than that, I suppose. Accidents happen. Leaves you in a bit of a spot in the meantime though of course!Davz wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2019 4:51 pm Thanks for the reply James, I have emailed whiteline Aus and they were exceptionally quick to reply, the UK importer is now looking into this, they agree what I have been supplied with will not fit and what they have in stock is all the same. Try this webpage, you need to go to the australian site where whiteline are based.
https://www.whiteline.com.au/do_segue4. ... =2003-2008
I have the rear arb fitted and that was ok, so can't at the mo understand why it doesn't fit. I'm hoping the bar has been labeled incorrectly.

Ah right.
TBH, the sway bar pictured on their website looks exactly like the one you're having.
And that one looks exactly like one on how they're fitted on an e89 with those strange curved portions on the ends (which has basically a 1 series/e90 front suspension, with seperate tension and push lower arms)
e89 OEM front swaybar (picture from ecs tuning):
I wonder if whiteline has the z4's mixed up.
You won't notice that on the rear because the e89 has a rear suspension that is most akin to the x3, and that rear suspension is only slightly different from the e46/e85 (mainly used materials but design is the same)

This is the one you want.

Alternatively, I used an M3 convertible ARB which is also 27MM thick.

Fitting that 30mm front arb might throw off the balance a bit with that 22mm rear.

I agree, although you can at least play with the settings so may work.
I’d go with a used M3 one personally. Cheap and proven time and again on here.

Whiteline front Arb....Help!
Fellas, thanks for the feedback.
The M3 from whiteline looks like it will fit but I think your right an 8mm difference in thickness may be too much, if I remember correctly the magic number is 5-6mm difference. As they are both adjustable maybe setting the rear on hard and the front on soft could be a good setup.......a shot in the dark though! I have emailed whiteline to ask them about this. Whiteline have been excellent, they have offered a full refund and apparently have another bar for the z4 which has just gone into production and will do me a "cracking deal" if it is the correct bar.....that is what I call customer service.

Whiteline front Arb....Help!
Update.......Whiteline UK have been excellent in their support.
I have been told that their e46 M3 arb should fit but 30mm thickness is not ideal, I would need to set it at the softest setting and the rear arb on the hardest setting, this gives an effective setting of 29mm front and 23mm rear, this will be excellent in the dry but I have concerns about wet weather grip.
However, they have one e64 arb at 27mm and is adjustable too. So it is basically an m3 bar for standard 3 series. It is no longer in production, has anyone ever successfully fitted one of these to a zed? Or does anyone know if the dimensions shown in the pics are correct.....its too wet to get my arb off and check!

It certainly looks very similar to my standard M3 bar that went on (with added adjustability on your whiteline version) so I think you’ll be fine
