Between now and the day you get your new bonnet switch, you can just disconnect the bonnet switch electrical connector and then lock your car via the fob

Alarm has a mind of its own.
I've had this before and it turned out to be a coin battery I'd left in the centre console section (just under the handbrake). I'd recently swapped out the cell for my Parrot system.
Apparently the same is said for any loose change you may have?

Had the same problem - took a couple of attempts of removing the bonnet switch & blasting with wd40 to solve it.

Sounds like a good bet. I removed my current bonnet switch this morning (I ended up destroying it to try and remove it from the metal bracket) and have ordered a new one from BMW direct on ebay. £38.65Jollyjoiner wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2019 6:48 am I had the same issue on my my old e46 330i and e85 and on both cars I bought new bonnet switches which sorted out the fault
I didn't fancy buying a used one as I could end up with the same issue again, which I definitely do not want

Cheap as chips if it sorts the problems, could have been worse with the price of some partsben g wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2019 12:40 pmSounds like a good bet.
