Door Card Screws??

Post by matthewpri » Fri Apr 12, 2019 10:12 pm

Fitted a new door to my Z but in transferring everything from the old door to the new one I managed to misplace the screw behind the airbag logo attaching the door card to the door, anyone know where I can buy another of these, tried looking but no luck??

Door Card Screws??

I'm not sure I understand that. Do you and the car live in the UK? I don't see why BMW should get to choose whether they sell parts for a car depending on where it's registered anyway! Sounds like you need to speak to a different parts guy at BMW to me :) Either that or give them a different registration for another E85/E86 Z4.

Just quote the above part number to your local dealer. They won’t give a monkies uncle about the car.

They basically told me that there may be parts that don't fit my car because it was originally registered in Belgium (even though my first date of registration and first date of registration in the UK on my V5C are the same date), and that id have to go into a dealership but nearest ones like half an hour away and I haven't been able to find the time as of yet. Thank you very much for finding that screw though, I spent ages looking for door card screws and stuff and found nothing! What did you search for?

Door Card Screws??

Post by wonkydonkey » Sat Apr 13, 2019 9:09 am

matthewpri I Googled something like "Z4 door card screw" and one of the top 20 results was a thread from this forum where someone had already asked the same question. One of the first replies was a link showing the door card assembly with the screws labelled, including part numbers. I pasted the part number into Google and linked you to one of the sites selling the screw.
