Strange engine bay noise??

Does this sound like the headlight self levelling motor?
It only makes this sound when lights are turned on.

Have you checked for stray cats trying to keep warm by crawling up into the engine bay overnight?
This one sounds like he's playing around with a drum machine, and if I'm not mistaken it sounds like a Roland TB303.

get some one to sit in car and turn the headlights on, they should go up then down and level out, if one side isnt then yes motors at fault, or

you can tell yourself at night with car facing a wall

Did it start making the noise after you had work carried out on the headlight washer? Seems a bit of a coincidence if that’s the case? :?

Not looked at the washer issue yet Rob. I did however remove fuse 40 to disable the headlight washers as you and others suggested in my other thread. But, this issue seems unrelated as I had the noise before and after I removed the fuse.

You know you can change the interval, duration and stop it completely via carly?

Didn't know Chris, haven't got carly - pulling a fuse seemed the simple solution
