Help with battery

Post by roofer84 » Sun Feb 17, 2019 5:12 pm

Been to my lock up today to start the Zed, battery was that flat it would not even light the interior light so looking to replace it. Has anybody got any recommendations and the exact model number to confirm fitment. Mine is a BMW battery so its probably been on there from new. Zed is a 04 2.5. Thanks in advance.

I bought the Varta Silver Dynamic E44, it's the same dimensions as the original BMW one I took off. Bosh & Varta are made in the same factory, usually, like for like the Varta is considerably cheaper.

I gather you can fit a few different size batteries by using an adapter which sits in the battery well. I just replaced a smaller size (027) Bosch S3-005, with a larger size (096) Bosch S3-008.I think most battery places will point you to 096 batteries for your car and then you have a few options from different brands.

I bought from Tanya, as recommended on here by a few, and the service was excellent. Good price and next day delivery.
