Hi can anyone help me with this one , i moved the motor into the boot and it works fine .
The problem i am having was there before i moved the motor and i thought this would have helped.
So the roof latch opens quickly the motor keeps running but the roof needs a bit of help until its about 1/4 of the way in the down position
then it all goes down as it should. When closing the roof it is quick with no problems.
What can i check now? :

Hi John,
Yes the fluid was very slightly down I managed to put a bit more into the top of the motor it probably took about 1/2 an egg cup maybe less.
The roof was up when I topped it up should it be in the down position.

No, the fluid stays pretty much the same as what comes in on the 'up' lines goes out on the 'down' lines and vice versa. It just circulates really.
Its probably more to do wit having a weak side on the pump. Try changing the two set of lines over on the pump and see if the issues moves to the opposite direction.
Some people say you can remove the reservoir and adjust the valves underneath to alter the flow speed, but its a lengthy process, complete guessing game as to which one and which direction you turn it, plus you have to drain the reservoir each time you need to make an adjustment.

Hi Number 5 thanks for your information, is the pump part of the motor, as I would be happy to purchase a new motor and pump to sort this out.Number5 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 1:18 pm No, the fluid stays pretty much the same as what comes in on the 'up' lines goes out on the 'down' lines and vice versa. You can expect to pay about £200+ for the pump and about £150+ for the motor.
(The pump sits on top of the motor and has the reservoir on top)
