Hmmm. It doesn’t make any sort of sound when I go over a hump...wouldn’t it if it was a front spring?

Possibly the UJ's in the steering shaft sticking (mine were) or top slip ring under the steering wheel which is a known cause of weird noises from clunk/clicking to a fog horn groan.

Ok so springs are ok. The guy said the track rod and ends needed changing tho (even tho I didn’t rlly feel any issues with the handling). Got them done. The sound is still there ...

He checked again. He says it’s the steering rack.

Sorry to pick up an old thread but did you change the rack and did it cure the clunking.

I have the same so far I’ve changed springs, shocks, top mount and control arm bushes but clunking is still there.

Thanks
That’s what I’m thinking. I had that foghorn groan after the winter and I sprayed the top UJ etc with silicone grease and it stopped. So the sticking UJ on the bottom might be at fault I’ll try that next.
