the blue one came with 2 sets of wheels and tyres - 16" AND 18" I put thr mv2 on steve when i got it and put away the schnitzers till the winter went away -
i see, switch the tyres from the schnitzers to the mv2s, then put the schnitzers on 'steve' :|

Think you’re looking at 9J’s.

However, were it not for the tyre & trim expense, I’d been inclined to think u were just doing this to up your post count to 5 stars :poke:

did some research and answered my own question

For more rim dimensions and adequate tire dimensions (not just recommended tire widths) try out our Tire size for rim size/width calculator which tells you what tire sizes to pick - for any rim size.
Rim
width
(inch) Min. ideal max

5,0 155 165 or 175 185
5,5 165 175 or 185 195
6,0 175 185 or 195 205
6,5 185 195 or 205 215
7,0 195 205 or 215 225
7,5 205 215 or 225 235
8,0 215 225 or 235 245
8,5 225 235 or 245 255
9,0 235 245 or 255 265
9,5 245 255 or 265 275
10,0 255 265 or 275 285
10,5 265 275 or 285 295
11,0 275 285 or 295 305
11,5 285 295 or 305 315
12,0 295 305 or 315 325
12,5 305 315 or 325 335

soooo.. looking at that thr 8.5 will do 225 and 255 . pity the offset is wrong eh
looking further into it it says correct offset of 47 front and for a 255 rear setup it should be 50 offset
and my things are 38 offset. so there is my problem - wrong offset

so, i have a few choices, to use the schitzers i need 225/40 on the front to get by the 38 offset
or sell the schnitzers with 4 new tyres and carry on with the mv2's

In The end I did none of those things.. I went and bought some more mv2's but staggered, had them powder coated, put the 255's on and put the 225/40/18 on the front, sold the original mv's to tug, and put up the snitzers on eBay, phew... unless I bin the sport suspension I will have to learn to avoid/drive around the million or so speed humps that the stupid council has installed in Burton :o

Keep at it RW, it’s worth it....

I started keeping a tally last year on the cost of all the ‘little tweaks’ the Zed got treated to - However, I decided to discontinue keeping such incriminating evidence...
