Anyone help with this engine noise?

Sounds like dry cogs running, sounds like it could be coming from the block.

Does the noise go when you put your foot on the clutch?.

Sorry, I should add it's an auto.

Watching youtube videos to try and pinpoint the issue, mentioned could be spark plug loose. So I checked, number 2 was a little.

I'm thinking it could be a worn pulley.

Could be a very noisy Disa valve?
I believe to check this, simply unplug the Disa connection & try it.
Alternatively just remove the Disa valve itself, fairly simple job anyone can do.

I rebuilt it last month, but I'll give it a go and report back.

Thanks

Its difficult to tell from that clip but going off your description of dry cogs Id be tempted to say either the water pump or one of the pulleys/air con at the front etc

New symptoms. - water spraying from behind water pump pulley, water pump pulley moving in and out along its axis.

I've just collected a new water pump; Airtex.

New pump fitted, did a service while I had it up on the stands, runs like a dream. Just hit 100k miles, good engine.
