Plastic Trim Restore

Post by Gwest44 » Thu Oct 04, 2018 8:33 pm

Had a go on my E86 with an equivalent Back-to-Black product that I used on my SAAB 93. It worked well on the 93 but only lasted until the first wash on the Z4. Any tips on how to tackle faded rubber trim around the doors, windows and bottom of windscreen or is it just worth having it professionally replaced?

I went with Autofinesse. A couple of coats last a long time.

Autoglym is rubbish and doesn’t last.

I used that on my door mirror mounts - looking good so far!

Much better than the Autoglym I tried before.
