Black Exhaust Deposits

99% sure its no problem providing your oil use is normal, coolant levels are stable and you don't have visible smoke when hot. The black is carbon mixed with water vapour, could be down to short runs, a fill of premium V power fuel or similar and a good hot drive should sort it. Very occasionally it can be a sign of a failing injector, but would also have rough running and maybe a code.

Looks distinctly oily. As above,. Keep an eye on your oil consumption and check no blue tint to the exhaust gasses. Hopefully it has just built up over time.

That can be an early sign of ccv meltdown occurring, keep an eye on the consumption rate & check inside the inlet manifold by removing the disa for oily residue :?

Thanks for help guys, I’ve been running on Vpower since I got it in June and the last fill was standard unleaded and there has been less residue.

Fingers crossed it’s just a clean out.
