Todays bloody fiasco - Starter Motor packed up
Looking at EuroCarParts (amongst others) and there appears to be 2 variants so hoping someone can tell me which one I need.
As far as I can tell, the only difference is that 1 is 173mm in length (1) and 23mm length (3), the other is 135mm in length (1) and 24mm in length (3).
So which one do I need?
My car is:
2003 Z4 E85 3.0i (M54 engine I believe)
Many thanks in advance

I don’t think it makes any difference, when I swapped mine the new one was longer. Been on years without any issues.

Starter Motor Help
Just replaced my starter motor with one from Eurocarparts and didnt notice that there were lucas/Bosche ones as the site pointed me towards RTX. Really cheap and it seemed ok as car started first turn of the key. However there are a number of negative reviews of RTX units but I guess if they were that bad Eurocarparts wouldnt stock them. When I got my old unit off noticed it was 'Denso' so perhaps not that good to start with.

Thanks for the info - I ordered with GSFCarparts - only because a) There was a weekend 57% off code in my email inbox which meant that b) The Bosch unit was £132 instead of like £231. Plus I get another £60 refund when I return my old one.Mike6 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 20, 2018 3:40 pm Just replaced my starter motor with one from Eurocarparts and didnt notice that there were lucas/Bosche ones as the site pointed me towards RTX.
