3rd Brake light leds blown...
A few of the led's at both ends of my third brake light have stopped working.
I've tried jumping up and down on the boot lid in case it's a loose connection but they're still not working
Is it time to buy a new one or is there a fix to this problem?

Time for a new one i think.
Poor design. They crack frequently, then water gets in and theres little water ingress protection in any case.
I posted somewhere my own replacement including taping up to prevent water ingress.

Got a linkypoo buddy?
I think I read about someone wanting to replace with a LED bulb. was that u?
If that's the post ur referring to, I'd advise against it. I tried a couple of LED bulbs for the rear fog and reverse light and got nothing but a load of CANBUS trouble.

The Led's work fine and have thrown up no canbus problems that I'm aware of. Everything seems to be working ok.
The problems I'm having with the fogs is replicated using halogens.

After reading ur thread i dont think i can offer any advice.
Sounds like a tangled web, surrounded by an enigma, wrapped up in a mystery
Why not source some holders from a breakers and replace and see if that helps?
I applied the same philosophy when replacing my throttlebody- bought a cheap 2nd hand job from ebay, replaced and hey presto, solved my issue!

When you switch on your front fogs do you hear a click from the relay?
I'm going to get the wiring diagram and have my neighbor (AA) run a diagnostic and see if that highlights anything.
Fortunately both sets of fogs work providing the rears are on so there's no safety issues should they be needed in this current heatwave
