afternoon all...i recently entered into the z4 world by buying what appears to be a proper diva on 4 wheels. ...
..heading into work today something strange happened. .
perfect driving for about 20 minutes then the revs would become erratic while driving along. .alot of the time up to 3000 revs without my foot even being on the throttle then dropping then up again almost like the car was driving itself but if you stop it seemed to idle fine
plugged in my fault code reader and codes...
27A4 and 28AE appeared. .
I've searched but can't find anything on here regarding similar issues worth both codes that matches the way the car was driving. ..does anyone have any ideas on where to start to fix this please
many thanks in advance. .

erratic revs while driving
Hi Rob, welcome to the forum (sorry you are having problems connecting, we'll sort that out am sure).
Not sure what the problem is and what those codes are but sure someone will be able to shed some light on it.

erratic revs while driving
Are your throttle body and idle control valve connectors properly connected and in good shape?

Model would be helpful but if it's N52 I would suspect Valvetronic eccentric shaft sensor or Valvetronic motor.
