Navigation Radio Failure

Post by holovicc » Sun Apr 22, 2018 9:34 pm

i wanted to troubleshoot something, opened the radio and since then it does not work. this does not seem to be a power failure, as the cd ejects and takes discs, the buttons are lit.

the navigation lcd shows everything, but it does not reacts to the buttons on the radio.

i am not aware of how this system works. eg where the radio is connected to? so i could inspect that module. what wires i should check?

any help appreciated.

thanks!

Navigation Radio Failure

SAA1305 62 celsius degree, TDA3616T 73 celsius degree temperature. the later is a little bit too much for a regulator.

The SAA1305T is an on/off logic IC, intended for use in car radios to interface between a microcontroller and various input signals such as ignition, low supply detection, on/off key and external control signals.

The TDA3616 is a low power voltage regulator.

I am considering doing a few check on their pins.
