Any advise....?
Have the car some beans up a hill today... first time for a while... Battery light came on. Stayed on for next 10 miles. Got home switched off the car.
Left it for 10 minutes.. went to start it and the light is off...
Checked the battery... 11.5v. Checked it with engine running 11.5v.
So it's now not charging... I know that... but wouldn't the battery light still be on???
Would it be voltage regulator or complete alternator... how do you tell...
Thanks

It’s probably the alternator but a diagnostic from an auto-electrical shop will confirm for sure. I assume the belt is not in pieces!
