airbag light on

Post by Zoomer » Fri Apr 06, 2018 9:00 pm

Hi Guys as per title my Airbag light is on and i have connected my Carly, but it wont get rid of the following fault and the light stays on.

the fault code is 0000DA. Vorkatsonde 1 signal swing / CDKCHDEV -CAN timeout HDEV / signal KVA2 /CAN module warning level reached / FS backrest head:blocking front / internal index 233. its under Aircondition/klimaanlage so i may be chasing fairys

i am not even sure its linked to the airbag light but i have cleared all other faults and its the only one that wont clear. could it be the passenger seat occupation sensor gone walkabout?

any help is much appreciated

thanks

That actually may well help. If you can other parts do Amy other pillar warnings come up? I had a similar one come up but on scanning a non srs segment of the car it came up there was an error with the b pillar. Cleared that and it went out.

I have cleared all faults ( 8 of them ) but this one can’t be cleared. I’ll try again a little later

Did you examine the b pillar satellite stuff?
I found a link once I had done a spec search that caused new areas of interest to appear
the airbag light (in blue on a C110+) was cycled and the bag light was gone

THanks but I only have the Carly. I’ve just done a diagnostics check again and I get an airbag fault coming back. I think it was instrument cluster airbag warning.

The c110+ is about £40 on Amazon. I bought it for the air bag light and it worked for me. I had all sorts of airbag blather linked to passenger occupancy sensors and door card stuff.

Why not buy one and send it back if it doesn't work? They make an explicit claim to sort airbag faults. Returning it if it fails would be fair enough.

Good luck

From experience, Carly won't clear airbag codes.

Hi,

I am getting the same error with carly. I have a 2003 Z4 2.5I. Did the error go away when clearing it with inpa ? Did you scan after that with carly and the error was not back ?

Hi all,

I have C110 and I have fitted a seat occupancy sensor emulator because I was getting airbag light on and an error code. I used my C110 yo clear the code and the airbag light goes off, I then check and the error code is gone. Though after a few seconds the light comes back on and the error returns.

Do you think the issue is with the C110 or my seat occupancy sensor emulator?
