Sticking Handbrake
My NSR handbrake is sticking, but not all the time. Any tips on where to start?

Sticking Handbrake
Two things to check really:
Jack rear of car up and get some axle stands underneath:
1) Get under car and check the handbrake moves both sides of the cable mechanism equally and smoothly where it feeds in at the back of the discs. You really need to get someone to operate the handbrake whilst you watch.
2) If all OK, it's probably the handbrake shoes sticking. Remove rear discs, strip down, clean, grease metal to metal contact points on shoes and re-assemble. They can be adjusted with the discs back on by inserting a flat blade screwdriver through the hole in the disc and turning the adjuster (item 3)
