Roof button - no lights?
Haven't used the roof for a while.. today, went to put it down and pressed the button.. nothing! No light, no movement, nothing!
Have had a replacement roof motor relocated to the boot so pretty sure thats not the issue. Have'nt had a look at fuses yet.. but is this something that commonly blows?
Thanks

First thing is to check is that the parcel shelf in the boot is correctly seated. If its levers have put put in the up position to allow more space in the boot then your symptoms will be what you get. Hopefully a two minute fix.

The shelf up/switch failed/switch disconnected gives an amber light, rather than no light.

Well done Steve, I stand corrected. Could it be that a connecter has worked loose on the motor.

As above, the shelf being up would illuminate the light on the switch. However, I have had a case where the shelf switch wiring was faulty and no lights illuminated.
You need to check that the roof module is getting power and communicating. Easiest way to do this is to pull fuse no 12 and check it. Then if the fuse is ok, turn the ignition to position 2, wait a couple of seconds and then put the fuse back in whilst watching the leds on the roof button switch. If the module is powering up and coming online to the canbus network, the red led will come on for half a second or so. If that's ok, then try it again as sometimes the system loses track of the position of the roof and latching motor in relation to each other in which case the roof module shuts down as a failsafe.
If that didn't work, but you did get the momentary led when inserting the fuse, I would then pull and check fuse no 31 which supplies the latching motor.
After checking the switch and fuse as above, further investigation really needs a diagnostic check as a starting point otherwise you end up stabbing in the dark.

I had the same problem, eventually I found a wire in the roof running to the latch motor had broken.

I had a similar issue...turned out to be the roof control module.

So i've got flashing roof top red light, the buttons do nothing at all. Roof is unlatched at the front, when i press the roof close on the key fob (unlock unlock lock) it activated the front motor which locks it in then releases it again!! as per video above link.
Microswitch seems fine, metal clip is engaging when shelf goes down.
So i am stuck with a car that has the roof unlatched and a week of commuting ahead of me! great.
