Std socket Mike and yes the rubber is still there. Didnt see the need for proper plug socket as the rocker cover head was off which made it a lot easier, or so I thought. Had a few cold sweats though lol.Ducklakeview wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2018 10:18 pmWhat did you use to remove them? A "proper" spark plug socket or a "std" socket? If the former, make sure the rubber insert is still in there..
Mike
The plugs were in really tight so i could have slanted the extension to get the leverage to looden them off. Should they be torqued tight? I hope not lolcj10jeeper wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2018 10:19 pmYou probably just slanted the plug socket when removing and cracked the ceramic
Real easy to do
Your talking too technical for me cj, sorry, complete mechanical novice here.cj10jeeper wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2018 10:47 pmYes they should be torqued in, however deposits and corrosion can make them siege and be really hard to remove
You just have to use correct tools and brace so socket pivots not twists over
