Neither do I and still get most things from them for our cars. They deliver to your door via courier. It's an idea that'll never catch on!

Although if you need the part quick then it's only about £15 more from Eurocarparts.

prize it off...carefully. once all the bolts are out of course.
You will probably hear and experience a cracking noise. That's just the gasket separating away from the mating surfaces.
I was filled with trepidation when i removed mine and when i heard a cracking noise i thought i'd buggered the cover.
Turns out it was just the solidified gasket.
Make sure that if the gasket does indeed shatter/break apart on removal that you recover ALL the broken bits if any escapes into the engine compartment otherwise the risk is that they wil be consumed within the engine internals.
I had to spend about an hour digging around looking for the 'last piece of the jigsaw' when i di mine. grrr

also...take pics...this thread is boring without them.... :D

Blimey! It never rains when it pours! :o
That would give me cause for MUCH concern if bits have dropped into the chamber.
Boroscope and a strong shop vac i'd suggest....
Ceramic bits will def be more catastrophic than plastic bits blasting around ur engine internals...

The plug is still in the chamber. Just need to vacuum them out today then put it all back together. Should be fine hopefully.

Go and hire an inspection camera from a tool shop and be sure. This could be catastrophic so worth checking properly.

Little so and so's, all good though plugs all replaced and new rocker cover gasket fitted. Fired up instantly. Happy days excess oil on exhaust burnt off now off for a well earned test drive .

Thanks for all the advice everyone, without your knowledge that job would of probably cost a few hundred quid.

Well, every picture tells a story. Oil leak on the rocker cover gasket, new gasket purchased along with plugs, stripped down slowly so i knew exactly where everything went, had a few traumas along the way. Mostly the porcelain on the plugs chipping off whilst being removed. Managed to retrieve all the broken bits. Put the car back together, fired up instantly, excess oil burnt off. This is the first time I have completed any mechanical work on a car so feeling rather proud of myself this afternoon. Cheers everyone.
