Simple job....Got a new badge for the front so started to prize the old one off only to find it’s been glued on with sikaflex! Can anyone tell what should be there to retain the badge please, all of my BMW’s used to have grommets in the holes but there isn’t anything shown in ETK.
Thanks

I replaced the front badge on my previous E86 (so a facelift) and found it was held on by 2 self-tapping nuts that cut a thread onto the plastic lugs on the badge. You can get to them by popping one or both of the kidney grilles out.
Coupes because stunning!

That ought to be the same as mine then.
The new badge doesn't come with new nuts so you need to keep the ones you remove - if I remember right they are 10mm.
To get the kidneys out lift at the top then pull the bottom forwards.

I'm going to replace mine this weekend. I popped the front grille and had a feel. I'd say the original plastic nuts are there. Can I reuse these or should I order gromets in advance?
