Key problem
My main keys doesnt work i.e it is unable to start the car, it can lock/unlock the central locking but thats it, just a couple of days ago it was working fine. Im left with using secondary key which works perfectly, is there a way to sort this problem out and what exactly is wrong with the key?

At a quess it could be the battery in the fob which charges itself when driving. I believe it is possible to open the key up and put a new rechargeable battery in. Others will probably know better.

Surely if the battery was low/dead it wouldnt be able to unlock/lock the central locking and roof?

Battery has no effect on starting the car. The immobiliser chip handles that part.

Sounds like time for a new key. I misplaced one of mine for 6 months and was told £120 by a local dealer. Others on here do them too. I was expecting them to be more expensive to be honest

May not need a new key try putting the key on a tooth brush charger overnight then the is a resync procedure that you can do which may sort it here’s a link to how to do it

Time for a new 'flip style' key fob from Mike "ooop North" perhaps?

Mike is on here as "ducklakeview" but you can also find him on Facebook as the Zed Shed.
He's based in Cheshire now I think - cut and coded a Bentley-style flip key for me last year, and it's great!
Or you could go the ZedFest as he will be doing keys and relocating motors there!
Coupes because stunning!
