I wonder if I purchased the wrong battery as it’s a little smaller then the other one I had ?

62 amp and 248mm long I wonder if it’s meant to be 70amp and 278mm long as I think that’s what came out :-(

If it’s meant to be 70 amp and I have stuck a 62 amp in would it not ?

A 12 v battery, is a 12v battery. The current rating (amps) is just how much 'oomph' it has got. As long as the battery isn't faulty or flat it shouldn't cause any issues at all.
