I think i'm a little bit late to the party
I've got a 2.2 M54 produced on May 2005. I just got the stalk and the retrofit loom.
unfortunately almost all the links to the instructions are expired.
can any one help me with the instructions? maybe uploading them somewhere or if you know a link which is still available.
i went through the whole 20 pages and googled a lot but i couldnt find out how this has to be done with wiring on M54 engine.

cheers
I'd also like to do this, did you get any further? My 2.2 is Reg 2005 also, not checked for loom and plug yet! But If no loom, again is there a current link that works for a How To? Cheers all in advance

This one is marginally cheaper than a new one if they take a bit of an offer.

At that price I’d rather buy new and have a 2 year warranty.

By the way, If some body buys the cable, please share a close photo of the X72 connector that goes to On cruise control switch or explain where each wire attached to X72 connector goes to. It is interesting to know where are each wire attached to.
Thanks

This info has been common knowledge for years, as have the retrofit instructions. It’s just three wires in a plug.

Just remove the lower cowl and check you have the plug if you want to be sure, but October 2004 was the cutoff from memory.
