Sold The E85, Bought An E89

In a quest for something a bit more easy going for long journeys I sold the old 3.0 E85 and bought this 35i!

So far I have to say I'm absolutely smitten with it, far more low down torque than before and although it's currently on run flats the ride is much better than the E85. Definitely more body roll however which I may look into getting rid of in the future, I don't really want to go lowering it as I'm currently rejoicing in the ability to now clear speed bumps.
Inside is a completely different league from the old car, really topped off with the extended leather. Best part about the interior however is that it doesn't rattle

So far so good then, looking forward to getting some miles in and having a fiddle with it to extract some more oomph

Unusual combo of manual gearbox with the command system, all of the manuals I looked at lacked satnav so you did well to get both.

Looks good. Manual and extended leather are rare. As for more oomph, 300hp not enough? Mine squirms around already...

Very nice, the red interior won't need as much cleaning as the cream one in mine, but you'll be forever cleaning the sapphire black exterior

Many thanks for the compliments!
Already remembering why I told myself I'd never buy a black car again after the last black car I had but ooh it does look good when clean

What tyres are you using? On Pirelli P-Zero's and unless you floor it in first or second I'm finding the car has no problem with 300hp thus far :)

Guilty.... Ive got an E-Class (soon to be replaced by a 5 series)...fed up with retraining my brain everytime I jump from one car to the next and the BMW system is much better than the Command system used by Merc..

Lovely car OP.

I'm not a big fan of black, but your red interior is stunning!

If I was thinking of moving to an E89, a manual 35i would be my only option - enjoy. :driving:
