Slight Damage
Ive got some every slight damage to the front spoiler - i don't know how or when it happened. I think it might have been somebody else while parking - I am very aware of the area.
I don't want to spend loads on a repair as it will might happen again but my fault, so I've been considering a carbon wrap?
Any advice would be appreciated

Smart repair? I think a "carbon wrap" will take a battering in that area...

Can plastic body panels be reshaped?
There's a small amount of damage but it's mainly loss of paint.

Are these questions connected?
The first seems major and the second minor.

Yes, there's a small bit of an indentation but the main and visible damage is loss of paint along the leading edge of the spoiler. It's not a show stopper but the car was only bought last Aug and has 2k on the clock so I would like to sort it.

My smart repairer would do that and you'd never see it again. So, I assume others can, too.

I had similar damage to the rear bumper on my last e89, no idea how it occurred. BMW quoted me £350 to respray the whole bumper, but I learned to live with it. A smart repair would have been much cheaper but I didn't bother, it wasn't all that obvious unless you looked closely.
It didn't even get noticed when I part exchanged it for my 4 series.

A pal kindly wrapped the lower spoiler after flattening the damage - I think it looks good - the material used is supposed to be very durable. The adhesive backing seemed tenacious - if it starts to look shabby I’ll have it sprayed but the wrap is worth a try!

I like it Ron. Very tasteful and as you e a grey car it doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb. I feel your pain the the damage as mines was subjected to a hedge trimmer and a dodgy young lad not long after buying mines. Both the bottom spiltter/lower bumper and number plate took damage. I fixed the splitter/lower bumper myself.

The pal who applied the fix has a Merc SLK and an A Class - He has done both of his cars with the same material. I think it is 3M - He is now well practised!
There are no ripples / Creases / Bubbles - something that would annoy me!
The lower grill was a pig and a half to (partly) remove and refit.

I'd say it's the probably best time for you decide what you prefer. You'll be spending money on it anyway so depends on what you prefer really. (I'm on the wrapping side)

Costs aside, I prefer the look of the wrapped part. It the material gets damaged, it gets wrapped again.
