Fantastic mod Steve. I would love to do this upgrade. Do you have any part numbers or list of parts required. I guess I have the 330mm front discs as per 28i. Any info greatly received pal.SteveSmith wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2018 8:24 pm Today was an exciting day, my brakes were due to be delivered, I got home to this...

These are huge in the flesh! Pads must be twice the size of the standard brakes, I cannot wait to get these on!

Yes you’ll have the 330mm discs. These are 340mm so not a big difference but the calipers look great!Oilcan wrote: ↑Thu May 03, 2018 8:38 amFantastic mod Steve. I would love to do this upgrade. I’m away at the moment but once I’m home I’ll dig out the part numbers For ease though these are straight from any of these cars...
Any F series with upgraded M SPORT brakes (could be a 120d for example with the upgrade)
Standard fit on an M135i / M235i
You’ll need the following
Disc
Caliper
Pads
Pins and Clips (these should come with the calipers)
Brakes fluid
They’re a direct bolt on fit.
I love them

Just be aware that the M Performance upgrade is a 370mm disc I believe and the calipers are different. Still a direct bolt on mod but if you’re buying calipers separately on eBay just make sure they’re correct as so many are mis advertised!

If buying from eBay/forum people (I'm not implying anything regarding this forum) have a quick scan of this post on babybmw: http://www.babybmw.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=110268
Brakes from an F series 1'er you say....um....wonder if Deb will notice I've nicked her callipers? (before she needs to brake!!)

It’s from eBay they have them in a uk warehouse so was delivered within 3 days of ordering. Very impressed, fits perfectly, it looks great if I do say so myself!

I was always under the impression that the hubs on the 35i and 35is were different to the rest of the E89 range, so am I wrong on that or do you need a caliper bracket to mount those calipers on the 35’s..?
Anyone know?

I know someone else with a 35i what has fitted them directly with no issues

Yep Ive seen them on a 35i, so the hubs must be the same as the rest of the E89 range but just use a smaller caliper with the same bolt centres. Unless there is a bracket but I’ve not seen any and I would think the hubs on the M car would be fairly beefy.SteveSmith wrote: ↑Tue May 08, 2018 8:37 pmI know someone else with a 35i what has fitted them directly with no issues
Very nice upgrade, the calipers are a bit weedy looking standard.
Any light shed on the turbo issue?

SteveSmith, I do think the rear of the E89 needs a little something... but do you think a black spoiler would work on Valencia Orange?

Yes! Massive failure of plastic boost pipe below wastegate coming from the intercooler!! Booked in to bmw on Thursday, should be a quick easy fix.john-e89 wrote: ↑Tue May 08, 2018 8:57 pmYep Ive seen them on a 35i, so the hubs must be the same as the rest of the E89 range but just use a smaller caliper with the same bolt centres.
