Interesting to see what happens with e89 prices.
I'm in a dilemma at the mo as to whether I keep mine or sell and get an older (05/06) boxster. Or maybe put a litlte towards an M roadster?
If prices are dropping, it might not be wise at the mo. Maybe they'll stabilise when/if they stop production.

That looks like a bargain - I paid more than that for my last E86 in May on similar miles (but I know which I prefer)!The_Dude wrote:Interesting to see what happens with e89 prices.

I think they have already stopped E89 production - I'm sure someone on here said BMW stopped taking orders in August.

So tempting to go for a Porker isn't it, big thrills for a low ish price. However the bills if they go wrong are truly horrendous. I had an 80k mile 04 3.2s for 6 months, got rid as the potential costs made my eyes water. Bloody awesome car though, I didn't mind the crap interior, runs rings round a Zed, and easier to live with than an M. It's a gamble definitely, and one that will bite you hard if you lose.The_Dude wrote:Cheers guys. Maybe prices will stabilise a little then.

That's really interesting, as that's what I was thinking porker wise but with less miles. What are the inherent problems?john-e89 wrote:So tempting to go for a Porker isn't it, big thrills for a low ish price. However the bills if they go wrong are truly horrendous. Hi, they seem to suffer from oval/scored bores causing oil burning & power loss-that's on top of the gearbox bearing which seems to fail randomly
I was considering a Cayman until I started to read of £10k engine rebuilds hitting owners-it doesn't seem rare either
