That AY 35is I looked at was WBAC price £13k against my car £14k
WBAC is an odd one currently. They are offering some superb valuations in some cases close to what cars are retailing at a dealer ship, however I find with Z4s as a whole they are normally off mark, they seem to offer quite low valuations particularly on Z4m!
I think some cars are easier for them to shift on. I checked on my Ford Focus and they'll give me at least as much as I could get privately, but with my Z4 it's a good £3/4k less. I don't think their market is in niche or performance cars.

Well it looks reasonably spec'd, relatively new and low mileage..no doubt he's been led into temptation by Synters

With £200bn of savings the UK has plenty of cash left to spend on toys!

Agree on those points Pete but that is Sytner pricing - £25k is where it needs to be to shift :)

Well as they say the market decides..

I wonder how much of the "I've got to have a 35is " is whipped up by the user groups..certainly it is the way with the Porksters AFAICS..

Always sell at the top of the market and buy at the bottom..

I am certain that plays a part - was happy with my well specced 23i bu now I want a VO 35iS with decent spec but in reality I will not use it or drive it any differently to the 23i

tiglon wrote: Thu Jul 08, 2021 9:14 am As for losing money on mine, I'm really hoping (if "life" allows) to keep it for a very long time. I'm only 36 so I'm probably going to spend half my life in a world where 95% of cars are electric SUV's hired from our overlords at Googlezonla Corp. That will be far more bearable if I've got a twin turbo straight six convertible in the garage that I can occasionally drive with my 2 gallons of annual petrol rations in 2040.
Un-be-liveable… I was having this exact conversation with a car mad kid at school yesterday. I’m 41 & was telling him that during my driving lifetime I’m probably never going to be in a position where petrol isn’t a viable option. He is 15 & I was telling him that he might be in a position where he has to plan where to get petrol from in the same way electric cars had to map out their journeys a few years back.

He told me “it’s alright sir I’ll just dog a fuckin’ huge hole in the ground & have a tank & pump in my back garden”

Maybe an electric conversion can be offered for the Z4?, tons of battery under that big bonnet and a fridge motor in the boot. So don't go wasting your money on the top of the range model... with electricity will come equality!

Stunning car, but it is some strong money for a private sale, plus the location may not help!

Yeah, its a nice car with good spec and low miles but that's retail money IMHO.

As I have said before though, start high as you can always lower the price but not easy to go up :)

I don’t think I would except that sort of money for mine and it’s a year newer!
You don't stop playing when you get old - You get old when you stop playing!
So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.
