Hopefully they will do an msport version with more aggressive body styling etc.

And hopefully the rumours of a new coupe version will come to fruition too!

Definately growing on me, but just doesn't look as "clean" a design as our current Z4's IMO.

And what's with the Z4 badge placement on the rear: it looks very randomly stuck on in a strange place! Looks like it needs to be lowere down near the edge of the tailgate.

That lower edge is bevelled. Might look odd in the metal there.

Great post and pictures Mike

I think it's a beautiful car, but am having trouble with those double cut lines on the front wing. Doesn't work for me. That 'Z' badge too . Clearly 'oh *uck it, it's got to be stuck somewhere'

As an aside BMW has 10 Commandments for a roadster and looking at the backdrops the tag lines include 'roadster'
The conmmandments can be found in many publications and have been core for 80 years, include the likes of the long bonnet, drivers seat back, coke bottle shape and low and at No 3 is Soft top; no folding hardtop.

Well that doesn't look much like a Softtop to me...

I have to say im not in love with it at all........

Now if it looked like the current Coupe and folded that would nice spot on.

One things for sure I wont be getting one as its longer than the current Z4 and ive only got an inch or so clearance in my garage as it is.

Cheers

Looks better than in the promo pics but there are still more things I don't like about this car than I like. It looks like a mutated version of the E85 Z4. The lines look more aggressive and more pronounced, but just don't flow very well together.

Just remember to not buy the launch colours as they depreciate loads more. Remember the Interlagos and Imola Red MZ4 ...
Current:
911-50 Black - unique spec
X5M - 575 hp of fun in a V8
Abarth 595 Comp.
Golf Clipper - collectors item
Z4 3.0si Black Sapphire
VW ID.3

Previous:
Z4M Silver Grey - non flimper spec (gone to Bing)
Z4 3.0 Toledo

Must admit, looking at mine against the new Z4, I think the present Z4 will look a bit dated next to the new one!

I still like mine though! Looks more "hardcore" than "executive"!

That's because you got a non-M. The M with the M-hood/bonnet, M bumper and the added M-tech/aerodynamic side-skirts doesn't look dated at all sitting next to the E89. :poke:

But of course, in real world driving, stylings make no difference. :fuelfire:
