I'd like a coupe if they build one, Merc have done it with the SLK and SL - it's pretty easy to turn a folding hardtop into a permanent roof structure. After 5 years driving convertibles I'm fed up of going topless.

I'm keeping mine as it is one of the very last of the US assembled models. Hopefully it will be a classic someday and hold it's value thru the years. Of course, there is the possibility that I may do to mine what CoolZ4 has done to his and in that case I'm sure the value may fluctuate a little

THinking about trading in my Z4M Roady and my 328i for the new sdrive35i....300HP is close enough to the current M's 330. The folding tin top gives me both a coupe and a roady....and I don't really drive either of my current cars much anyway working from home.....and...I can probably do an even swap....both are very low mileage, the Z4M is an 06 and the 328i is an 07. And i'll save on insurance....What does everyone think?

Think I would definitely try one on a test drive first, especially coming from an //M! I don't think the driving will be as fun in the new version with the added weight and going to electronic steering, not to mention the turbo lag and other assorted "refinements" that are being held aside until a new //M version is built. I may be wrong of course....

After going through last summer w/o my Z4M, I'm definitely going to have a close look.
If it looks like the M variant is coming down the road, I may look at picking up a used '07 or '08.
I'm still not convinced on the long term aspects of the N54.
I know the added oil cooler helped the limp mode issue, but it still runs too damn hot IMO.
...now an ///M with the V8 ....yummy

I will buy one when they come out with a M version. I really like the look of this updated model but buying a non M version is just a step backwards.
Out driving my car!!

I drove the 335i and there was no turbo lag. It was quite impressive!ovrkll wrote:not to mention the turbo lag

x2. Amazing, really, just how smooth it is. So far, I haven't heard of any turbo failures on 'em.rabman5 wrote:I drove the 335i and there was no turbo lag. It was quite impressive!ovrkll wrote:not to mention the turbo lag
