Bimmertech coding

Post by gremlin » Thu Sep 23, 2021 11:02 am

Hi All - I've just stuck my VIN into Bimmertech's Easy BMW Coding page - there are loads of options for me to spend loads of money on from adding Traffic Information to Remote Power Folding for wing mirrors.

Has anyone purchased any of these - can anyone recommend any or am I best trying to do this myself ???

Thoughts appreciated.

I would definitely recommend looking into getting Carly instead as it might work out cheaper. I think the Carly pricing has changed since I got it (when it was £50 for the adapter and £50 for the app), but even if you get more than 3 or 4 of those codings from Bimmertech I think it'll work out better value.

Also, depending on where you are, there might be a helpful forum member nearby who might let you use their Carly in exchange for a pint or something

I would suggest Protool over Carly. Costs less and has much more functionality.

ProTool only has an Android app then ?
So I'd have to buy a cheap Android device to use the ProTool app....
