Resonator Delete keep Back Box as is

Good evening people, Have done a search but not really found an answer, has anyone on their E89 just done a res delete leaving the standard back box, looking to get this done for a bit more burble & pop and from what I've read it wont drone on longer journeys either.
The only clip I've seen is on you tube from the simple car guy who has done this, it would be good to know how others have found it and what it a reasonable cost to do this work, have asked for 2 quotes so far, just waiting on them to come back.

Steve who used to be on here did this, he said it sounded better without sounding like a Corsa with no exhaust.
Think he only paid around £100 or so.

I've had mine done as well as the backbox mod, even with both done there is no drone, definately a few more pops and bangs I had them done one at a time (backbox mod first), what you get from the res delete is a change of tone, a little more raspy and aggressive and a little more volume, I like it personally but I'm sure it wont be for everyone, I think on its own it could be a good little mod without going too loud and its easily enough reversible if you don't like it
if its got tits or tyres..its trouble :D

I saw that simple car guy video too and really like the results, so considering doing this mod on my car too. I'm also toying with the idea of a quad exhaust conversion, but that'll def be pricier.

Thanks for the replies gents, im still waiting on quotes to come back but I'll defo get it done

Most likely it will end up being a powerflow job, there is one in Kent which has decent reviews, the other place is a bit more local to me and is a independent who normally works on retro and classic cars

powerflow workshop near me quoted 180, it's 1.5/2 hours work if it's all welded on properly
