Aftermarket Wheels

Post by Belly1987 » Wed Sep 15, 2021 9:27 am

Hi Guys

Currently running 19” OEM all be it cracked and welded wheels.

I think it’s time to change. I really like the CS style wheels from CM Wheels.

I don’t mind changing to 18” or stay at 19”s

But will they fit?

I’m happy to get spacers and potentially lowering the car.

Has anyone got the CS wheels on their Z????

If they can fit , what tyres would I need?

You’ve not stated if it’s and e89 but I’m presuming such, so current is 8 x 19 ET29 front and 9 x 19 ET40, the new alloys are both half an inch wider and both have a lower offset and as such cannot be spaced. Both the fronts and rears of the new alloys will stick out about 15mm further than the existing wheels. There’s no effective difference for the 18” or 19” wheel unless the offset/widths are different, if the wheels stick out to far you’ll get rubbing as the wheel hits the arches.

Google will they fit as this is a good source of information regarding wheel offsets and a calculator

lovely wheel but the convex shape would give me nightmares anytime I was near a kerb

Check out the e89 wheels thread for some other ideas, could be wrong but I think the bear runs something similar but in 19s and made by Veeman

I think the 19" wheels would fit fine if you went for spec 1.
