I took them off and sprayed them myself 👍
Just the roll hoops to do now and I’m done
Cheers, I was hoping you found some black ones, I'm not sure I can cope with any more spray painting.

Got to be honest, I looked at the f type and it’s a lovely car, however in order to get the one I want you’re looking at 100k new!!! I actually don’t feel that it’s worth that much more than a new zed m40i which is what I went for in the end.

Side note, back in 2019 I sold my immaculate and fully loaded 35is and I regretted it immediately. I wonder where it is now. Hope it found a good home.

When I test drove the supercharged V6 the noise is intoxicating but it felt heavy and not really that fast 1743kg is a lot of weight to be carrying and you could feel it compared to my Z4M anyway. Im sure the V8 makes up for it with brute force but unless it has the SVR treatment I bet it feels like a bit of a blunt instrument, loads of go but bit disappointing in the twisties.

I've thought every now and then over the last 18 months about changing the car for something else, but every time I look I can't find anything that's as fun or as nice for the right money. Everything else that offers what this car offers is much much pricier. I'm starting to think I'll end up keeping it til the wheels fall off, or I win the lottery

I bought similar grilles a year ago from this guy in Essex (has different styles): https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274690517176 ... SwHwRdyDzQ

Car looks great Dave, similar problem car sits in the garage most of the time and it would only be changing for changing sake... money better sitting in the bank
Do you have a pic of your car with the diamond grills installed? I love the look on Dave's car, but mine is alpine white and not sure if the ones with black surround or silver surround look best on white? Currently have the silver surround silver slats style from the 35i...didnt want the gloss black as everyone does that and I like to be different (I'm special needs) and these look awesome on Dave's car.

I've toyed with the idea of getting rid of mine and going back to one car again or chopping it in for something else. I looked at an SLK55 a few weeks ago (see this weekend's PH Brave Pill, it was the one in the article) and though it sounded better than mine I didn't like the rest of the car at all to be honest. The only thing I'd change it for would be something I've always wanted, a Chimaera, but I haven't got a garage and apparently they can get a bit damp if stored outside. Plus the hassle of selling it puts me off anyway, so she's a keeper (for now)!

I really don't need to go any faster, and I still do the look-back when parking up. The odd improvement here and there negates the need to spend thousands more 'upgrading' the entire car. A Royal steering wheel refurb last year did just that!

Having a garage makes a big difference, been toying with the idea of buying something else and getting rid of the Z and one of my other cars. Ive had the Z 7 years and its now at 34k and still drives like new. Did the Royal treatment last year and Ive just refurbed the wheels, its going into BMW this week for an oil/brake fluid change so Im tempted to keep it and keep all the money in the bank. But if I bought something else then I would need the garage space for that...
