I don't understand why anyone would order a 'base' model car, ie the 18i, in M-sport spec, with all those extras, when a standard 28i was a lot less.
I thought the 28i was around £5k more than the 20i? How much were those options your car has? :o

Just not to lose face I tallied the figures from the links above:
A standard se 28i was £34,220 OTR
My car was £34,845 OTR with options fitted
Both without extra paint as mine is Alpine White which was FREE.
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

F31 320i. Good car.

I would image as a pack those options would have offered a discount on buying them separately

Looking at the link to the price list above, interesting to see that the 294 style alloys were the most expensive option of all the wheels. Now I feel like a millionaire!

This reminds me of when the new Z4 launched, I popped into the stealers to take a look at it and noticed that they still had all the brochures for the E89 on their shelves, despite not having made the car for 2 years. So I grabbed one of each for posterity.

Wow, those options are very pricey - I’ve just checked & the 28i was £6.5k more expensive than the 18i in 2015 :o

I've got the mats, a quick jet wash and some tyre polish and they come up like new and they have the circular velcro pads for postioning.

And you got very little for your £6.5k extra. £50 of bigger brakes, auto dimming mirrors and a different engine map which would have cost BMW nothing extra.

Good old BMW marketing. :)

Cool! They would be useful for holidays.

Can you still get them?

I bought them a few years ago, they were advertised on Gumtree brand new in the pack £30... think I went round there at 10pm so nobody else pinched them :ninja:

All rather confusing.
My 2010 23i has extended storage, PDC, heated seats, Headlight washers.

No adaptive headlights, cruise control, heated steering, keyless entry, dimming mirrors, footwell lights, lumbar adjustment.

The footwell lights is something I would really prefer.

bimmer.work or mdecoder will provide a list of all options specified for your vehicle and a nice download able pdf as well.

The BMW Drivers Guide app allows you access to your car manual on your phone. And handily enough, it stores the VIN number in the app so you can copy it with one tap whenever you need it.

Your wished for spec was probably never ever made.. :tumbleweed:

Heated steering wheels, adaptive lights , lumbar adjustment and comfort access were all rare in isolation..having them all, especially in a 23i would be a very low probability…

You can retrofit cruise, extended lighting relatively easily
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…
A very modified Atacama Yellow 35is
