Dodgy E89 roof wiring??

Makes me wonder the effect of the glue used on the wrapping.
When i stripped my wiring back to make repair i wondered if the glue had made the insulation brittle.

I suppose it's more of the twist in the wires when the top arch of the roof harness is bent.
