What is this piece called,and can you buy one.one end has broken off. 2012 e89

Well im assuming you mean the bottom of the front bumper.. in which case you will need to replace the whole thing unfortunately
if its got tits or tyres..its trouble :D

It’s not part of the bumper.It’s the felt looking thing that covers the bottom of the motor.There’s 4 screws that hold it on that cover.

If you mean the broken plastic strip, it’s called a ‘Front Spoiler’ part number 51117207941 (£86 new)

If it’s the whole cover it’s a ‘Front engine compartment shield’ part number 51757191073 (£146 new).

Probably worth trying some breakers yards. It’s under the car, who cares if it’s second hand as long as it isn’t broken 🤷‍♂️

Mine was a bit like that except the broken piece was still attached in the lateral plane..held in with a few screws ..easy to fix and must be worth 3 mph :thumbsup:

Mine split, so I took it off and looked for a replacement, saw the price and decided it can stay off :rofl:

An E85 owner with the same N52 engine ended up with a leaking sump due to corrosion - lack of an undertray may well have been a factor. :(

And new sumps seem hard to find.
