Unusual error SOS

Post by mcbutler » Mon Jul 12, 2021 8:13 pm

OK, noticed this a few weeks back.
Every now and then when I start the car I am getting a 'gong' then a picture of a telephone & the letters SOS with a line through it.
I know what the sign represents, i have a button concealed in the left side of my interior light console that apparently calls santa claus if I break down.
Anyone else had this 'fault'...????

Sounds like your line to Santa Claus is no longer available, either because the system in your car isn't working, or (sorry kids) Santa is dead. Most likely the latter.

Unusual error SOS

I had this a few months ago in my X6 along with a load of other errors and messages.
I lost the sound in the car, as in no sound was coming out the speakers and because of this it displayed the SOS error message.
My problem turned out to be a blown fuse for the Amp.
Im sure there was a message on the idrive display with more info
