Did you press the open button on the FOB twice, before opening the door and leaving the car?
Pardon, je suis Allemand

The system has no Auto day/night and its not nice having Cyclops beaming that much light into your eyes at night.
For the life of me, I cannot remember or find how to toggle between day and night. Could somebody please help? Thanks.

Is there a way to turn this off? (Without iDrive) Only noticed it when I got a smarttop module, when I triple unlock to put the roof down it must trigger the comfort entry as the window goes back up when I close the door. If I've got the roof down I want the windows to stay down :D
Had a look through carrista and couldn't find anything relating to it, possible the smarttop itself is triggering it but can't find any options for that in its settings.

It’s a while since I did this but I seen to remember changing the setting to Night mode - pressing and holding button 8

From map view select 8 and it swaps between night and day mode.

If it won’t toggle between you could use 7 for Day and 8 for Night

So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Ok. More basic. How do we toggle from day to night modes? Thanks.

The button set to night - press again and it sets the screen to day! Ie it toggles between the two modes

Sorry, Ron. I’m still drunk from celebrating the EUFA championship. :poke:

Which button makes the toggle? Thanks.

Press and hold Button 8

Now set a destination and start navigation

Tap button 8 and if shows daytime view
Tap button 8 and if shows night view

This is mentioned in the smart top manual. You need to switch comfort access off using Carly, not sure if other devices can also do it. Worked on mine.

Originally I had 8 for night mode and 7 for day - but by chance I realised pressing 8 it swapped between the two modes.

Ok. It took sniffing around the iDrive, but I’ve found and assigned #6 to toggle between day and night modes. (Me car only has 6 buttons.) During bright days (like today in SF) I find the display useless whether in day or night mode. I have to wait for a shaded patch or the evening to read to bloody thing. Thanks for all the good tips.
