Do you know for sure that they fit the E89? Does not state that in the ad!
ML performance in the UK have these on offer at the moment and say they will fit the e89, I have emailed the company to confirm, i'll let you know what they say...
They are £200 on ML UK, thats not an offer in my language!
I have messaged them with my VIN for compatibility, they list under E89 but the product description does nt mention E89 at all.
Marc - ML Performance emailed me to say they were 179.99 on offer, unfortunately that ended 30th Jun. I have a search on their website for e89 and they came up. You're right its not 100% they will fit and e89 so thats why I emailed the manufacturer to clarify, I'll let everyone know what they say.

Also just noticed they have a plus on the right side and minus on the left and the E89 does not conform to this either as we all know...

Are you sure about that? Look at OP's post, and look at mine. I'm collecting info about many BMW models to see if there is any compatibility. They are ALL +PLUS on the right, -MINUS on the left.
LHD, RHD, no difference.

I found one that does mention Z4 amongst others, in the title at least:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000120 ... 0089ee80-0

I've looked at quite a few BMW wheels with paddles, it *seems* that the paddle maybe common between models, the switch maybe not, hence the different assy part numbers on RealOEM. For some reason the steering wheel is unique to E89.

This is listed as F10 F11 F30 F32 F15 F25 G30 G11 G01, looks very much like E89 paddle.......

Whilst my 35is’ wheel is at Control Customs for reshaping, I put an used mule wheel, which isn’t a facelift. The paddles don’t match the 7-gear DCT. Don’t know why.

There’s a shop here in Silicon Valley, EuroBoutique, that fabricates gorgeous carbon fibre paddles, among other things. I went there. It’s all legit. But they’ve priced between US$400-US$650. Blimey. That’s mental.

I want longer paddles on the lower side for turn exit, something that isn’t ugly, and that I won’t need to explain myself to my wife.

Haha, not sure mine would notice. :D

RealOEM says this below, all E89 use, or can use the same switches. Do you think you can separate the switch from the plastic part and take a pic? Assuming they are off the car of course. The paddle/switch assembly is different to other cars, just hoping the paddle can be changed.

Aliexpress vendor says they only support G29 Z4

Mrs Marcoose has a keen eye for the credit card statement.

The mule wheel is already on the car.

I’d rather find a vendor that can confirm they have sold paddles for the facelift 35is. I reckon the incompatibility is how the old paddles were push and pull, and the facelift 35is is pull only, right side up, left side down.

The difference in paddles is due to the LCI changes.

Pre-LCI cars have the silver paddles that are push for downshift and pull for upshift on each side. The LCI cars have the black/silver paddles that are pull only and downshift on left and upshift on right.

They are interchangeable between models and cost about £150 from BMW if you wanted to switch.

Personally I prefer the pre-LCI methodology so kept them, the LCI paddles do look nice though.

I got an email back from MMR they said that if I buy a set of paddles to go for the F series and try them. Any problems whatsoever and they will refund me. I have asked them can I have mine without the + and - signs as they dont correspond with the up and down either side change of the 7 speed DCT in my 35i.
I doubt they can do this but I'll let you know, here is their link...

That’s an easy fix, John. Just buy a 35is.

That's what I'm trying to find out, if the 166 quid paddles from an F series fit, then a $50 Chinese set for an F series should too. Some comments I've found though, go for aluminium paddles and not plastic, as plastic flexes if you use the top of the paddles

Thanks Roddy, all
I got an email back from MMR saying they will make me a set of paddles without the + and - signs on them so they will be better for the 7 speed dct. I'll order them tomorrow as soon as I get back from FOS. I'll let you know if they fit!
