Oh quite right. It wasn't intended as a dig, just pointing out that even the fancier establishments are always poking around looking for ways to get your money. Based on the 'Free winter check' model that finds all sorts of things that must be done at great expense.

I think all of the big tyre chains are the same - same independents are more than likely to fix it for a few quid in cash if it can be done
