How has your Viofo been performing over the 2 years? I have the A119V3 and after some time I found the camera kept switching on and off all the time. Turns out with time the connection between the camera and the GPS base gets loose and hence the constant switching on and off.
I've got the 119 in my wifes car, three years & going strong. In my car also never had any problems with the 129. The only thing I didn't like is the way the power needs to be connected when using the 'hard wire' that is smart enough to start / stop the camera on car ignition & battery voltage availibility: it needs to be connected to the cam to work, rather than to the GPS base. (visible on my picture b.t.w.) I've got all the wires cleanly routed in the car & this would have made it even better. Otherwise, very happy with it!
I have had three 119 cams, which I believe are V2, for four years now. One hardwired to my zed, experiencing only summer temperatures, has been working flawlessly all these years. Two hardwired to the daily drivers are exposed to more harsh temperature conditions tend to act up at temperatures below -15˚ and occasionally do keep rebooting, below -25 they usually fail to start but recover once the temperature rises. One of them does not nowadays recognise ignition when the car is cold, and needs to be booted manually, but it’s in a diesel BMW and probably only caused by the glow process and aging car battery. One had problems with the gps base, with a broken pin. To sum up, these V2s have been pretty robust.
