Same as buzy, too old when I got mine for mid-life crisis. Late-life maybe, but I don't care what jealous people say!

The coupes don't seem to have the same "perceived image". I think it's the convertible thing that can create the wrong impression to the ignorant.

That's because the Coupe is simply perceived, by none Z4 owners, as just another hatchback, that happens to look mighty fine good.

It's just something for people to say, an ice-breaker if you like as Nictrix suggests. It really is a very old saying though. The true clue to a mid-life crisis is when you start running and if you then join a running club, you are definitely having an affair.
