Goodbye Red Z

Post by IRD » Fri May 28, 2021 7:12 pm

Waved goodbye to my pride and joy this evening. I have owned her for almost three years and have enjoyed every minute of my ownership. Now in the hands of another Forum member who I hope enjoys the car as much as I have done. The sale process has been very smooth and Paul was a pleasure to deal with.
Many thanks for all the help and advice I have had from fellow members during my ownership of two Zs.I will continue to read the posts and perhaps make the odd comment.

Nothing yet Rob. We have recently bought a new Passat RLine Estate with the 272 bhp engine and all the toys as the main family car. The only thing is that it’s a bit thirsty. So I am looking for a plug in hybrid to do the short journeys. We have tried a 330e and are also looking at the i3 and the Golf GTE. But second hand prices have gone through the roof in recent days. One 330e I looked at went up £3000 overnight earlier this week. So I’ll just keep looking and wait until the prices stabilise. We are retired so can manage with one car for the time being. Cheers Ian

Well that was a sad day Ian.

I hope your Passat provides a bit of fun, and good luck finding a plug-in hybrid.

Hopefully you will drop by here now and again.

Iain.
