Exactly. Why didn't he apologise and inform you of that when first you complained? Perhaps then it would have been resolved amicably and to mutual satisfaction.BadgerDog wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2020 3:23 amWell thats a shame now isnt it? But... remind me again... how is that your fault OR problem? They need to take ownership of their problem and make it right... then go after the website provider if they are really the ones who screwed up... not expect the buyer to deal with the problem. As a rough guide using webuyanycar a 2012 2.0 Z4 with 50,000 miles with only 1 owner is only £140 more in value than the same car with 5+ owners.
The value is usually based on mileage and condition more than the number of owners. Stop agonising over it and start enjoying your zed.

Thats right pass the buck, blame the web designer! too lazy to check their own website... bet they'd notice if the prices were wrong on it!BadgerDog wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2020 3:23 amWell thats a shame now isnt it? In fairness after saying it was his 50th he did finish by saying I understand not your fault.BadgerDog wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2020 3:23 amWell thats a shame now isnt it? Hopefully he will do the right thing as an otherwise good interaction will be soured by this.

You won’t be the first to have a new car experience tarnished by sh1t dealers.

Hi
Just like to say thanks for people’s advice.
Dealer contacted me asked what I wanted and I stated I am not after much just enough to give me wiggle room if I come to sell it and the new buyer haggles over previous owners.
So dealer has transferred £535 today and I’ve closed small claims action.
Just wished he had done this from the start.

I wonder how much of that will stay in your “offset” account....or be turned into mods?
Good result and will possibly make the dealer realise they should be more honest, or more careful when providing info about a vehicle.

I think you did well there Oliver - I just hope you are happy with the outcome.
Hopefully multiple previous owners won't be a problem when you finally come to sell as it's not unusual with Z4s. My 2nd Coupe had 5 previous keepers when I bought it in 2016, and my current one had 7!

It's not a good interaction. Imagine if it had been a serious problem and you'd been fobbed off like this.Oliver Ciaravella wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 8:28 pm Hopefully he will do the right thing as an otherwise good interaction will be soured by this.

Very funny think I will be holding onto it especially as only doing about 20 miles a week as WFH and likely to for next 6 months
