There's nothing wrong with using it. It's what BMW recommends.
I thought supermarket fuel was a no no, or is that a old wives tale...? :scratchhead:

Ahh. Thanks, Pbondar. I really like this forum so I mainly stick around here despite being odd man out on this side of the pond, but yeah the occasional joke DOES go woosh. ;-)

I struggle sometimes with the dynamics / humour of this forum and I’ve only been in this country for 65 years..

Many times I type something meant as a joke, then re-read it and think, hmmm, if they don't get it I'm in trouble!
So much ammunition wasted :)

I’ll go with that. You can often get away with saying something and not cause offence. But put it in writing and the impact is quite different.

When I left the RAF after 23 years I did various resettlement courses. On one of them we were told that if we could get through the first 12 months as a civvy without being punched then our humour adjustment was working................... I had to duck a few times...........in fact, still do

Putting premium fuel in a car with a standard ECU map is just pissing money down the drain. As said already, the cheapest fuel you can buy in the UK still exceeds the minimum.

Would that also apply to a remapped N52? or since a remap on the N52 doesn't bring about much bhp or torque increase, it's still ok with 95 Ron?
